In 1994, the first Sandella's coffee shop opened in a mall in CT.  In 1996, the Sandella's authentic brick oven baked flatbread was created and introduced to all stores.  Sandella's flatbread is all natural and does not contain any artificial flavors or colors. It is the perfect complement to a healthy diet as it is fat free, trans-fat free and low calorie. In fact, all our flatbread menu items contain no trans-fats.Sandella's flatbread quickly became favored by customers resulting in all sandwiches to be offered on flatbread.  The  Sandella's Flatbread Cafe opened its first college campus location in 2002 at Louisiana State University. Sandella's  stood out in the food court as a healthy option that was still fast and delicious. As a result of this success, Sandella's expanded steadily and is now in many  college campuses, corporate offices and several transportation hubs throughout the United States as well as  internationally.  

In 2016, Sandella's Flatbread cafe was acquired by Diversity Foods Brands,  a minority-owned supplier, operator, and licensor, experienced in compliance, management, and training. DFB is an ACDBE, DBE, and MBE certified small business, featuring a portfolio of brands, diverse in menu offerings, region themes, and flavor profiles. Diversity Food Brands (DFB) is committed to providing quality food service choices to our customers and licensees.  

Today, Sandella's Flatbread Cafe has grown to be the largest and fastest growing flatbread concept in the world offering delicious wraps, paninis, quesadillas, grilled flatbreads, salads, rice bowls and more.  Sandella's has worked hard over the years perfecting it's flatbread recipe, and continuously adding new and diverse flavors from around the world using only the finest ingredients.  We pride ourselves on offering premium quality, health-conscious food that is also great tasting.
